Veranda at Assembly - NEW Affordable Senior Living

The beauty of construction is taking something old that may have lost its original purpose and establishing a vision and new purpose for the land it was on. When the GM plant closed in 2008 after more than 60 years of operation the land was purchased by Real estate developer The Integral Group in 2014 with a concept to provide an affordable option for seniors looking to maintain their independence. Veranda at Assembly was the project born from that desire. This development offers 100 affordable senior apartments. This new construction build includes a four-story wood frame building with a masonry and siding exterior. The property offers just about 3,000 square feet of amenity space including a bistro/café, fitness room, yoga room, and a fourth-floor outdoor terrace. Units will be offered ranging from 692 square feet one-bedroom to 912 square feet two-bedroom floorplans restricted to renters 55 years or older.

Veranda is part of the development, The Assembly, which according to the analysis, "is zoned for more than 10 million total square feet of office, residential, retail and studio space with approximately 10 acres committed to public parks, green spaces, and bike/walking trails." The Assembly is a 165-acre transit-oriented, master-planned project which will feature residential apartments, townhomes, office and retail spaces, a hotel and recreational amenities. Couple that with being close to the Doraville MARTA line and you have a recipe for a great living community.
